About the Role

The Peak District National Park Careers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rural Surveyor to join our team as a Rural Estates Manager. This is a senior position that requires the management and development of our extensive rural property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a challenging mix of traditional upland estates, heritage, and recreational assets situated in stunning countryside.
  • Direct management of 3500 hectares of landholding, including tenanted farms and residential properties, moorland, woodlands, and recreational trails.
  • Maximize conservation and recreational outcomes through effective property management.
  • Explore new opportunities for revenue generation, including accessing developing green finance markets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to showcase our work around nature recovery, responding to climate change.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rural surveying, conservation, and property management. They will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and teams.
