MacGregor Black is collaborating with a Food Production Company to find a Regional Sourcing Manager for the UK and Ireland. This is a permanent opportunity.

As the Regional Sourcing Manager for the UK and Ireland, your focus will be on achieving exceptional outcomes and establishing a competitive edge. You will play a key role in shaping the regional category strategy or may lead it for specific sub-categories, while overseeing the sourcing process and introducing innovative ideas through effective methodologies. You will also develop, support, and implement all global procurement strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, reporting directly to the Head of Indirect Procurement, you will:

  • Design and implement regional category strategies into sourcing and efficiency initiatives, defining the necessary team to successfully execute the project plan.
  • Achieve cost-saving projects across regional expenditures and promote value enhancement initiatives within the category.
  • Engage proactively with team members to comprehend current and future needs, aligning on a cohesive strategy.
  • Provide insights and impact assessments for Global Procurement teams to support overarching procurement strategies and execute them regionally.
  • Embody and promote the One Procurement Community (OPC) to facilitate our journey towards Procurement Excellence (JPE).
  • Manage a wide range of procurement responsibilities across category strategy and supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualification or substantial experience in procurement.
  • Prior experience in Procurement within Professional Services, Human Resources, Finance, or Travel categories.
  • Demonstrated history of consistent performance and successful delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in advanced category management and sourcing methodologies.
  • Strong strategic category experience (from strategy formulation to execution) to build credibility with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and influencing abilities with a confident presence.
  • Positive attitude and capability to drive results effectively.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with familiarity in SAP and Office applications.
  • Structured yet adaptable approach, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in project management and organizational change capabilities.
