About the Role:

Optime Group, a leader in aviation recruitment, is collaborating with a prominent Ground Handling Company at Bristol International Airport to expand its dedicated team of Ramp Agents for night shifts. This role is crucial in supporting one of the UK's rapidly expanding airports.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Wage: £13.81
  • Night Shift Premium: £40 per week (post-training)
  • Overtime Opportunities: Available
  • Weekly Hours: 40 hours
  • Shift Schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off
  • Payment Frequency: Weekly
  • Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent (based on performance)

Working Hours:

The airport operates seven days a week, and candidates will follow a 4 on 4 off rolling schedule.

Example Shift Hours:

  • Day 1:

  • Day 3:
  • Day 4:

There will be ample overtime available for those interested.

Training Requirement:

Initially, candidates must complete two day shifts per month for the first three months to enhance their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer luggage processing, ensuring it is loaded onto aircraft for departure and safely unloaded upon arrival.
  • Work in both airside and baggage handling areas.
  • Engage in a physically demanding role, requiring the ability to lift and move luggage weighing up to 30KG. Note that there may be downtime during shifts.
  • Operate various vehicles for transporting baggage between the terminal and aircraft.
  • Receive comprehensive training.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, exposed to varying weather conditions.
  • Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Possession of a Full UK Driving License.
  • Valid Passport or Birth Certificate.
  • UK Settled Status (if applicable).
  • Proof of National Insurance.
  • Current Address Verification.
  • Five-Year Address History.
  • Five-Year Employment Reference History.

Successful candidates will undergo a basic criminal record check in accordance with CAA regulations.

Important Note: As this position is within the aviation sector, candidates must provide a five-year checkable history.
