About the Role

We are seeking a Senior People Development Manager to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for designing and delivering our firm-wide core skills offering, focusing on leadership development and talent management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver a structured system of tailored learning to develop our people as rounded business professionals.
  • Work with the broader learning team to design a core learning offering that is aligned across all populations to build our learning culture.
  • Create a holistic core learning offering that is aligned to our broader People Strategy, including Talent Management, ESG, Wellbeing, and EDI.
  • Design learning solutions based on best practice design to engage our learners and support and embed learning on the job.
  • Ensure our core learning offering is clearly communicated and understood, championed by senior leaders, and builds our learning culture.
  • Monitor and measure the impact and effectiveness of our learning programmes, reporting on outcomes and return on investment.
  • Lead and coach 5 direct Manager-level reports, managing programme budgets.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior learning and development role, preferably in a professional service business or a similar regulated environment.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Expert knowledge and expertise in learning and development methodologies and tools.
  • Proven experience of learning technologies and the use of data.
  • Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to design and deliver engaging and impactful learning and development solutions.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, to understand how best to align our offering to meet business ambitions.
  • Strong collaboration and project management skills, to ensure a creative design process across a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, to engage with different audiences across the business.
