This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of UK road networks, container logistics, and relevant transport regulations. You will be responsible for developing and executing efficient transport plans, optimizing routes to minimize costs and improve delivery times, and allocating and managing drivers effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute efficient transport plans to ensure timely and cost-effective container collections and deliveries.
  2. Optimize routes to minimize costs and improve delivery times, taking into account factors such as traffic, road conditions, and legal driving hours.
  3. Allocate and manage drivers effectively, ensuring compliance with working time directives and other relevant regulations.
  4. Communicate with clients to confirm delivery schedules, manage expectations, and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
  5. Ensure that all transport activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including vehicle maintenance and driver hours.
  6. Provide on-call support to manage and resolve any issues that arise outside of regular working hours.

Requirements:

  1. Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK road networks, container logistics, and relevant transport regulations.
  2. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and be on call every third week.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday (40 hours), with a salary of £32-40k. If you are interested in this role, please send in your CV.
