Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will assist in the provision and delivery of prescribed programs of patient care, working under the direct supervision of our Senior and Deputy Practice Nurses.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the provision of patient care, including BP monitoring, new patient health checks, CVD screening, ECG recording, phlebotomy, and urinalysis.
  • Perform chaperoning duties and assist in the organization of stock levels and ordering.
  • Ensure the safe dispatch of specimens and maintain vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring, and recording.
  • Clear and re-stock consulting rooms, and prepare and maintain environments and equipment before, during, and after patient care interventions.
  • Assist in the assessment and surveillance of patients' health and well-being, and undertake specific clinical activities for named patients.
  • Help raise awareness of health and well-being, and assist with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being.
  • Provide care to housebound patients in their home or care home.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
