Job Title: Advanced Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and committed Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Pen-Y-Bont surgery.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner, diagnosing, managing, prescribing, and discharging patients with illness or injury across all age groups. This will involve working alongside a multidisciplinary team, including GP Partners, a Prescribing Nurse, Practice Nurse, and Healthcare Assistant.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting.
  • Undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and home visits.
  • Check and sign repeat prescriptions, deal with queries, and referrals.
  • Manage acute presentations and chronic conditions.
  • Order appropriate investigations and file pathology results.
  • See all age groups, including pregnant women, and deal with mental health presentations.
Requirements
  • Active registration with the NMC.
  • Education to Masters level.
  • Independent prescriber.
