About the Role

A leading accountancy practice is seeking a skilled Personal Tax Consultant to join their Oxford team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tax planning services to clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and Deliver Tax Planning Opportunities: Provide expert consultancy services to clients across all areas of personal tax, ensuring compliance with HM Revenue & Customs and in-house deadlines.
  • Manage Client Portfolios: Oversee a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring timely completion of work and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Client Support and Advice: Assist clients with queries and provide ad-hoc advice as needed, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Billing and Administration: Accurately bill clients for completed work and maintain accurate records.
  • Communication and Liaison: Effectively communicate with clients, partners, and staff members, ensuring seamless collaboration and information exchange.
  • Technical Support and Training: Provide technical assistance to junior team members and assist in the preparation of technical reports.
  • HMRC Correspondence and Enquiries: Manage HMRC correspondence, telephone calls, and enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

About You
  • Private Client Tax Experience: Possess experience working in a private client tax team, with a strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
  • Professional Qualifications: Hold ATT qualification, with a strong desire to pursue CTA certification.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Possess strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Aptitude: Show a strong aptitude for IT, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technology.
  • Positive and Commercial Approach: Demonstrate a positive and commercial approach, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
