Position Overview

Social Work Partners Limited is seeking an experienced Court Case Coordinator to oversee the progression of family court cases. This role is designed for a part-time commitment, requiring four days of work each week.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison, collaborating closely with both Legal and Children's Services to ensure the efficient advancement of family court cases.

  • Enhance Documentation Quality: Responsible for improving the standard of court documentation through a structured quality framework.
  • Professional Development: Utilize your expertise to create and implement tailored practice development initiatives, ensuring Social Workers possess the necessary skills to provide quality evidence and effectively lead in formal proceedings.
  • Partnership Leadership: Foster a strong partnership between Legal and Children's Services, utilizing exceptional communication skills to align objectives across both sectors.
  • External Relations: Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including Children's Guardians, local judiciary members, Independent Reviewing Officers, solicitors, and barristers, to uphold practice standards.
  • Practice Development: Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing practice within care proceedings, collaborating with Social Work Team Managers and Local Authority solicitors to assess skill needs and provide necessary support.
  • Case Quality Framework: Design and implement a comprehensive case quality framework, ensuring Social Workers and Team Managers are equipped to produce high-quality evidence.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly report on the status of care proceedings to senior management, ensuring timely outcomes for children.
  • Timetable Management: Identify and address any issues that may impact the scheduling of care proceedings, ensuring all relevant parties are informed promptly.
  • Public Law Outline Guidance: Effectively utilize the Public Law Outline Guidance and contribute to the management of Permanence Planning processes.
  • Performance Analysis: Provide analytical reports on performance data to assess the effectiveness of care proceedings timelines.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Experience in coaching and mentoring, including practice teaching, is desirable.

  • Report Writing: Strong report writing skills with the ability to analyze data and extract key themes.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of managing complex and competing demands.
