About the Service

The Tullideph Housing Support/Care at Home Services caters to seven adults living in their own residences. Each individual presents unique and complex needs, including, but not limited to, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, hearing impairments, learning disabilities, diabetes, and epilepsy. We recognize each person as a unique individual and strive to deliver services that align with their interests, aspirations, health requirements, and overall wellbeing.

Support is provided in all aspects of their lives, both within their homes and in the community. Our teams are committed to facilitating a diverse range of activities, hobbies, and interests through positive risk-taking and a proactive approach. Promoting independence and a balanced, healthy lifestyle is a consistent objective for each individual receiving our services.

The service you would be part of is dynamic, busy, and occasionally challenging, offering immense rewards in terms of personal and professional growth. This role provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Encourage independence, individuality, and the achievement of personal goals, ensuring the voices of those we support are central to all actions.
  • Assist with various tasks, including personal care, household chores, medication administration, and meal preparation.
  • Plan, participate in, and engage in meaningful activities both at home and in the community, such as art, music, travel, yoga, volunteering, swimming, and sensory experiences.
  • Collaborate with your team and others to review and ensure the highest quality of care is provided.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily records.

At Sense Scotland, we believe that the lives of those we support should encompass much more than just their care needs; it’s about enjoyment, fulfillment, relationships, wellbeing, and meaningful experiences. We encourage team members to share their own interests and skills with those who use our services.

No prior experience is necessary; we value your enthusiasm, values, and willingness to learn more than anything else. The skills you need will be provided through our training programs.

Shift patterns vary, with start and end times ranging from 8 AM to 10 PM, including early, late, mid, night shifts, and sleepovers. You will experience both lone working and 2:1 shifts, allowing you to focus on one individual at a time, fostering consistency and trust in your relationships.

  • The capacity to use your initiative.
  • Patience and empathy.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage your workload.
  • A desire to learn and grow.
