The Role

We are seeking an experienced Head Cook to join our team at Grosvenor Hall in Ashford. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting our Catering Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen facilities. This is a full-time, permanent position, worked over 5 days a week, including some weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cooking and preparing meals for our guests, using agreed products and portion sizes
  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP procedures and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Reporting any equipment issues and arranging for maintenance or repairs
  • Maintaining our 5-star EHO score and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Ordering stock and managing inventory to minimize waste
  • Supporting the Kitchen Manager with staff rotas and ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Leading the front-of-house team and providing excellent customer service
  • Managing allergens and communicating with guests about dietary requirements
  • Ensuring the Diner is clean and functional for guests
