About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Controller to join our team at Unilin. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing our company's cash flow and ensuring that our customers pay their debts on time.

Main Responsibilities
  • Credit Management: Decide on credit and payment terms for new and existing debtors, taking into account their creditworthiness and payment history.
  • Cash Collections: Be responsible for collecting cash within agreed terms, ensuring that our company receives timely payments from customers.
  • Forecasting: Compile weekly receipts forecasts to help us manage our cash flow and make informed business decisions.
  • Debt Recovery: Compile and act upon debtors aged listing reports to identify and recover outstanding debts.
  • Credit Insurance: Apply and review credit insurance cover as required to minimize our risk exposure.
  • Reporting: Report on bad debts and debtor days to help us identify areas for improvement.
  • System Knowledge: Be able to understand and deliver information from our accounting system.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with our customers, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Debtors Management: Chase outstanding customer debts and create new customer accounts as needed.
  • Accounts Reconciliations: Perform accounts reconciliations and generate invoices to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with other offices globally and internal teams locally to ensure efficient order flows and minimize disruptions.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of previous credit control experience working in a finance department or similar.
  • Customer Management: Previous experience of dealing with a large customer base and working in a fast-moving and complex environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Possess problem-solving skills, with the ability to use these skills when decision-making.
  • IT Skills: Good IT skills, with previous experience of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proactive Approach: A proactive approach to work, with a willingness to embrace Unilin's values and contribute to the company's success.
