Position: Academic Coach - Health and Social Care

Location: Northampton

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Academic Coach in Health and Social Care to join our client's college as of September 2024.

About the Role:

  • Provide one-on-one and group academic coaching sessions to students in Health and social care
  • Assist students in understanding course material and improving their study skills
  • Help students develop effective time management, goal setting, and organizational strategies
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Collaborate with faculty to identify students needing additional academic support
  • Develop and deliver workshops and seminars on academic success and professional development topics
  • Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health and social care, childcare, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • Proven experience in academic coaching, tutoring, or teaching in Health and social or childcare studies
  • Strong understanding of Health and social care terms and curriculum
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds
  • Commitment to student success and academic excellence
