Job Summary:

We are seeking a Plant Operator to assist in the day-to-day operation of our plant, ensuring maximum plant availability and productivity in accordance with company operational procedures and legislative obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload vehicles and trailers, and effectively manoeuvre waste on the plant and weigh containers.
  • Ensure waste containers are emptied, cleaned, and readily available for collection.
  • Coordinate paperwork and reception of deliveries, including suppliers and contractors.
  • Oversee safe handling of waste into containers by deliverers.
  • Operate fork lift truck if required.
  • Participate in plant shutdowns as necessary.
  • Maintain company operational records and data.
  • Draw attention to management of major defects, concerns, or problems.
  • Work under the direction of the Shift Supervisor and Plant Manager.
  • Observe and comply with all safety notices and signs.
  • Attend training courses or instruction specific to the job.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic.
  • A team player, able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Good health record.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Punctual.
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to hours, including shift work.
