About the Role:

Our client, a leading organization in the industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to lead their finance team in Harrow. This role involves overseeing a team of 8 finance professionals responsible for handling 100,000 transactions weekly related to the payment of local taxes and fines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading and mentoring a small team of finance professionals to ensure efficient handling of transactions.
  • Maintaining stringent audit controls and ensuring the proper management of public funds.
  • Analyzing fiscal data to drive improved collection rates and financial performance.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engaging with Private Equity (PE) houses and Venture Capitalists (VCs) as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in a senior finance role.
  • Strong understanding of audit controls and fiscal management of public money.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and support remote teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on improving financial performance.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting financial reports to various stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of initiative and dynamic thinking in previous roles.
  • Experience in dealing with PE houses and VCs is highly desirable.
