About the Role
The SEND Support Specialist position is a newly established role within the Special Educational Needs Advisory Service (SENAS) at Trafford Council. This role is designed to assist the SEN Consultant and engage with the innovative developments in neurodevelopmental pathways. The position promises a dynamic and diverse work environment, offering numerous opportunities for professional growth.
As a SEND Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance and resources to families in Trafford, both before and after an Autism diagnosis. You will collaborate with the SEN Consultant to facilitate impactful training sessions as part of the Greater Manchester Neurodiversity in Schools initiative, co-created by individuals with neurodiverse experiences.

Additional Information
The core working hours are between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a flexible working policy in place. The successful candidate will be required to travel and work across various locations within Trafford, including some evening and unsocial hours. Hybrid working arrangements are available, allowing for a blend of home and office work.
An enhanced DBS check will be necessary for this role.
