Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Simpsons ŠKODA. As a key member of our accounting function, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running of the Accounts Department, ensuring efficient management of the accounts function and strong financial accounting and reporting throughout the group.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production of the monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner
  • Produce manufacturer composites
  • Complete weekly and monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all balances are known and correct
  • Process monthly payroll
  • Reconcile off-sales DOC daily
  • Check and verify sales commissions
  • Update daily estimates versus actuals
  • Bonus debt reconciliation and chasing up any outstanding bonus and putting query forms in if required
  • Post and allocate bonus debts
  • Process EMAC statements
  • Reconcile eBay, Shopify, and Amazon accounts
  • Optimize the systems in place, ensuring they are used efficiently
  • Supervise the purchase ledger, ensuring all invoices are processed in a timely manner and there are no debit balances
  • Process monthly suppliers BACS run
  • Supervise the sales ledger, ensuring all debts are collected
  • Hold weekly debtors meetings with managers
  • Communicate effectively with department managers and assist them with any financial matters required
  • Prepare daily cash flow forecasts
  • Cover weekly forecasts in the absence of the Financial Controller
Requirements
  • Experience in the retail motor trade, SME, or owner-managed business
  • Desirable: Kerridge experience
