We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing innovative food services to independent schools and colleges. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in crafting delicious meals that inspire our students.

About the Role

As a Chef de Partie, you will collaborate with our culinary team to create flavorful dishes that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation procedures. Additionally, you will oversee stock control and ordering, maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, and support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes meet the company's standards and client expectations.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, kitchen assistants, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Oversee stock control and ordering to maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing waste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, always following health and safety regulations.
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining records of food costs and inventory.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution preferred.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
