About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Companion to join our team at Home Instead. As a Home Care Companion, you will be visiting our clients in their own homes, providing support and companionship to help them maintain their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting a sense of wellbeing and reducing feelings of loneliness.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom, while respecting clients' dignity and autonomy.
- Support clients with meal preparation and household tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
- Accompany clients on outings to local shops, cafes, and other places of their choice.
- Monitor clients' medication and provide reminders as needed.
Requirements
- No experience is required, as we offer comprehensive in-house training. However, any previous care experience is an advantage.
- You must be reliable and punctual to ensure we can continue to provide an excellent, dependable service.
- Must have a caring and friendly disposition to create lasting relationships with our clients.
- Must have a valid driving licence and have your own dependable transport.
- UK residency is essential, and we cannot provide working visas.
- Must have good working flexibility including alternate weekends.

- Earn £ per hour (this is doubled on bank holidays) plus 35p/mile mileage reimbursement.
