About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Waters Corporation. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in new product development projects, providing design quality assurance support and ensuring that engineering and scientific analyses are employed.
- Perform previous product analysis on similar products and risk management activities, supporting project team activities for requirements management, design reviews, design verification, design validation, design transfer to manufacturing, risk management documentation completion tracking, and product release authorization for distribution of product.
- Collaborate with the Product Improvement Team to understand inherent product design issues and mitigating controls, assess the risk of product issues, and feed information into the MS design team to determine and implement appropriate containment actions.
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the Global Design Quality Assurance Team on issues, ensuring that issues impacting successful design reviews and product releases are identified, communicated, and addressed with the appropriate individuals or teams.
- Provide interpretation and guidance on industry best practice and state of art for design assurance activities, working with global Design Quality Assurance peers and Product Development stakeholders to identify and develop improved or harmonised Product Development processes/systems and drive implementation within the relevant development areas.
Requirements
- Education in one of the following areas: Engineering/Physical Science degree, HND level with proven relevant experience in an Engineering/Science related function, or Significant proven experience within a regulated occupational environment.
- Experience in product development of complex systems (mechanical, electrical, and software), developing business processes and quality systems enhancements (product design through manufacturing) in an industry with established quality standards or regulations, and working knowledge and experience with ISO 9001.
- Mass Spec experience, MS Field Service experience, Operational Build experience, and Reliability testing/evaluation.
