Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Sodexo, working in a prison environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing innovative plans to support prisoners with complex needs, including those with personality disorders and neurodiverse conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and Supervise Forensic Psychologists in Training: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage their caseloads.
  • Support and Supervise Staff Handling Complex Cases: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective treatment plans for prisoners with complex needs.
  • Complete Parole Reports and Conduct Assessments: Utilize evidence-based assessments, such as the HCR20 and PCL-R, to inform treatment plans and parole decisions.
  • Conduct Forensic Assessments and Formulate Plans: Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for prisoners, taking into account their individual needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with the Psychology and Interventions Team: Work closely with colleagues to develop and deliver effective interventions, including Offending Behaviour Programmes.
  • Attend Multi-Disciplinary Meetings: Participate in regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders to discuss prisoner progress and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Lead and Develop New Offending Behaviour Programmes: Design and deliver innovative programmes to support prisoners in reducing their risk of reoffending.
Requirements
  • HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist: Possess a valid registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Knowledge of Psychological Theory: Have a thorough understanding of psychological theory and its application in working with individuals with personality disorders and neurodiverse conditions.
  • Practice in Psychological Assessments: Be experienced in the administration and interpretation of psychological assessments, including the HCR20 and PCL-R.
