About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor to join our team at AWE Plc. As an HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental strategies and policies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and incidents.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health, safety, and environmental procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop and maintain health, safety, and environmental documentation, including policies, procedures, and reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • IOSH Affiliate, Associate, or TechIOSH certification.
  • Proven experience in a high-hazard environment, with a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in IT systems.
