Director of Secondary Science

Initio Learning Trust is seeking a visionary leader to drive educational excellence in Science across our secondary schools in the South West of England.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Science education, working closely with our leadership team to raise standards and improve student outcomes.
As a key member of our team, you will lead subject-specific improvement work, develop and align curricula, and deliver strategic curriculum leadership to empower departments to improve student progress and attainment.
You will also teach your subject in one of our trust schools, modelling outstanding teaching practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead subject-specific improvement work to empower departments to improve student progress and attainment.
- Raise standards in Science by delivering strategic curriculum leadership, high-quality CPD, and targeted support.
- Ensure a consistent and high-quality approach to teaching, learning, and assessment, while developing and aligning curricula across all secondary schools in the trust.
- Teach your subject in one of our trust schools, modelling outstanding teaching practice.
- A proven track record of raising standards in secondary education, particularly in Science.
- Passion for curriculum and teacher development, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Demonstrates outstanding teaching practice in their subject.
