Position Overview:

This position entails instructing Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, advocating for physical fitness, collaboration, and a balanced lifestyle. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in sports education, outstanding communication abilities, and a fervor for encouraging students to reach their highest potential. This temporary role presents an excellent chance to positively influence students' lives through sports and physical activities. Key Responsibilities of a Sports Education Instructor:

As a Sports Education Instructor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and high-quality sports lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship, and a passion for physical activity.
  • Creating innovative and inclusive lesson plans that accommodate all skill levels.
  • Evaluating student progress and providing constructive feedback to facilitate improvement.
  • Organizing and supervising extracurricular sports activities and events.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the sports curriculum and foster school spirit.

Qualifications for a Sports Education Instructor:

  • Possess a relevant teaching qualification (QTS, QLTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Have a robust background in sports education and athletics.
  • Exhibit effective classroom management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and a dedication to student growth.
  • Be capable of motivating and inspiring students to attain their personal best.
  • Must hold a DBS (updated service) to ensure the safety of learners.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the relevant field.
