We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Financial Accountant to join our rapidly growing business. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a crucial role in producing insightful financial information, driving performance, and improving results.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Support the monthly management accounts process, including sales ledger journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Performance Analysis: Prepare KPI analysis for inclusion in Board packs, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
- Team Management: Manage and develop the Sales Ledger team, ensuring they are equipped to allocate receipts, process customer refunds, and maintain accurate ledgers.
- Audit and Compliance: Support the annual audit and statutory accounts process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Internal Controls: Work with the Group Risk & Internal Audit Manager to ensure internal controls and procedures are operating effectively.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform ad-hoc tasks and analysis to meet the needs of the business, demonstrating your ability to adapt and prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the organization and forge strong relationships with key stakeholders across different functions.
- Qualifications: Fully/partly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or qualified by experience. AAT Technician considered.
- Skills: Excellent MS Excel skills required, with a strong understanding of IFRS and VAT.
- Knowledge: Technically strong, with up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and industry best practices.
- Analytical Skills: Naturally curious, with immaculate attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset.
- Ambition: A can-do attitude, with a passion for driving success and exceeding targets.
- Teamwork: A team player, with a strong ability to work closely with others to achieve common goals.
- Communication: Confident and accurate communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Flexibility: Effective decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to a changing workload and prioritize multiple tasks.
