About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at DART Aerospace. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall quality management system performance of our Portsmouth facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality strategies to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals.
  • Audit the quality system annually to ensure that manual and procedures are current and being followed.
  • Ensure that training and inspection equipment are sufficient for the tasks to be performed.
  • Investigate, determine root cause, and initiate permanent corrective action for customer issues and escapes.
  • Assess and implement data analysis, quality methods, inspection criteria, and procedures to ensure technical integrity of quality processes and results.
  • Support and drive supplier development, approval, and performance, as well as lead internal and external aerospace quality compliance audits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
  • Experience as a quality manager from within the engineering, aerospace, or automotive sectors.
  • Expertise in problem-solving through Lean Six Sigma and other quality techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience managing a team of quality professionals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Experience leading aerospace/engineering compliance audits.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable quality standards such as AS 9100 & ISO 9001.
