About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance and Payroll Officer to join their team. This is a permanent role based in a central location with elements of hybrid working, offering a great work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage financial ledgers, maintain fixed asset registers, and support the production of management and statutory accounts.
  • Oversee the daily operations of a small finance team and lead the payroll operation for 250 employees.
  • Contribute to management accounts, forecasts, and budgets for the department, working with the finance business partner, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Develop internal finance processes and team members to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Part-qualified through ACCA / CIPP or Qualified by Experience.
  • A keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of transactional finance.
  • Experience of processing a wide range of ledgers and payroll functions.
  • Excellent ability to build a collaborative environment across business functions.
  • Strong Excel skills for complex functions and formulas across spreadsheets.
