TimePlan Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our team, focusing on providing exceptional educational experiences for students with special educational needs.

This role presents a unique opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about positively influencing the lives of students with diverse learning requirements.


As an SEN Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality instruction across essential subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, tailored to meet the varied needs of your students.

You will collaborate with a supportive team to cultivate an inclusive, engaging, and nurturing educational atmosphere that empowers all students to achieve their maximum potential.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, prepare, and implement engaging lesson plans across core subjects, customized to the individual learning needs of students.

2. Modify teaching strategies and resources to accommodate the diverse abilities of students with SEN, including those with complex learning challenges, autism, and behavioral issues.

3. Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and establishing attainable goals.
4. Work in partnership with teaching assistants, support staff, and external organizations to ensure the comprehensive development of each student.
5. Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters independence among students.
6. Engage with parents, guardians, and the broader school community to support student growth.
7. Adhere to the school's policies regarding safeguarding, behavior, and equality.

Essential Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
2. Proven experience working with students with SEN in educational or alternative settings.
3. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of learning styles and abilities.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to build effective relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
5. Patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to working with young individuals with special educational needs.

Desirable:
1. Additional qualifications in SEN or related disciplines.
2. Experience in teaching within alternative educational provisions.
3. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and therapeutic approaches.
