Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cyber Security Engineer to become a vital part of our esteemed Cyber Security Operations team, specifically within the Aerospace, Defence, and Security sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing support for incidents across various clients while contributing to enhancements throughout all stages of the Cyber Defence Feedback Loop, including Situational Awareness, Detection Development, Security Monitoring, and Incident Management.
  • Utilizing your advanced technical analytical skills to deliver precise evaluations of vendor-related and security issues.
  • Engaging in extensive troubleshooting of security and SIEM technologies, particularly focusing on Splunk, within our dynamic Security Operations Centre (SOC).

Technical Expertise:
As a senior engineer, you should possess a comprehensive networking background and be adept in:

  • Managing and administering specialized cyber defence applications and systems, which includes installation, configuration, maintenance, backup, and restoration.
  • Utilizing SIEM, Threat Intelligence platforms, and Malware analysis tools for effective data research, analysis, and correlation across diverse data sets.
  • Maintaining a record of log source issues within the respective SIEMs.
  • Implementing intrusion detection/protection systems, antivirus solutions, and content deny lists tailored for specialized cyber defence applications.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, candidates should have:

  • Proven experience in security incident response, code/malware analysis, and strong coding capabilities.
  • Expertise in effective SIEM design, setup, configuration, and tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, along with relevant certifications.
  • Familiarity with Azure Sentinel or IBM QRadar.
