Are you prepared to assume a pivotal role as a Lead Procurement Strategist within our Specialist Power division? We are seeking a proactive individual to spearhead procurement initiatives on significant projects. In your capacity as a Lead Procurement Strategist, you will be tasked with formulating procurement strategies, policies, and methodologies. You will work closely with the procurement team to refine supply chain management practices and foster a culture of ongoing enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct project procurement goals and specifications in partnership with the Senior Procurement Manager.
  • Deliver market insights, cost recommendations, and supply chain performance evaluations.
  • Oversee a team of procurement specialists and manage procurement workflows.
  • Promote innovation and offer cost-efficient solutions through Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) and self-delivery approaches.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Exceptional negotiation and contracting abilities.
  • Experience in project procurement strategy and risk assessment.
  • Expertise in supply chain planning.
  • Demonstrated success in generating added value through procurement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in the construction sector or a related industry.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the capacity to make informed decisions.
  • CIPS certification or an equivalent qualification.
