Ceded Reinsurance Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Ceded Reinsurance Accountant to join our team on an interim basis to support with quarter end, reinsurance premiums reporting, data improvements, and production of high-quality bank and GL reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the technical and ceded reinsurance team to ensure accurate reporting on month and quarter close.
  • Utilize reinsurance data to provide valuable insights to finance, actuarial, and operations teams on areas such as P&L, budgeting, and forecasts.
  • Improve newly implemented accounting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure all reporting meets regulatory standards (SII/ IFRS17).
Requirements:
  • Strong insurance technical reporting/accounting across reinsurance premiums.
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA or strong QBE within reinsurance accounting.
  • Excellent Excel modeling skills.
  • Proficient analytical/data skills with excellent storytelling for P&L.
  • Ability to support with close accurately and on time.
  • Excellent GL and bank reconciliations experience.
