Senior Financial Planning Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to become a vital part of our team, responsible for evaluating and enhancing business insights, offering strategic guidance to management across all tiers, and supporting the broader Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role will also involve providing analytical support for external financial disclosures.

Office Performance Evaluation, Segment Reporting, and Stress Testing (40%)

  • Conduct monthly evaluations of office performance, pinpointing areas for improvement and collaborating with regional leaders to implement necessary action plans.
  • Enhance reporting processes and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), focusing on revenue drivers, office profitability, marketing effectiveness, and external disclosures.
  • Deepen understanding of marketing investment returns.
  • Aggregate data from various systems utilized in Group reporting, transforming it into insightful information for management.
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to ensure the reliability and timeliness of data provided to the FP&A team.
  • Assist the Risk and Prudential Reporting teams with stress testing requirements, offering insights and challenges on proposed stress scenarios, and supporting the delivery of regulatory reports.
  • Contribute to the review of Group segmental disclosures, working with the broader organization to suggest modifications to segments viewed by the Chief Operating Decision Maker (CODM) and implementing processes to ensure fair and equitable segment allocations.

Budgeting and Reporting (30%)

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Client Management to model the sales pipeline.
  • Engage with both Trading Desk and Distribution departments for revenue forecasting, ensuring that upcoming business changes are captured and that there is company-wide alignment on targets.
  • Assist in the development of financial performance models as the organization evolves.
  • Work closely with relevant financial controllers.
  • Continuously review, develop, and enhance KPI performance and benchmarks.
  • Generate daily and weekly revenue reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports for senior management and the board.

Business Strategy Monitoring (30%)

  • Conduct competitor analysis.
  • Provide data and insights to senior management to support strategic development.
  • Assist in evaluating potential value and tracking the success of new strategic initiatives for the Group.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Advanced Excel skills (macro level preferred).
  • Strong presentation abilities, capable of producing concise documents that convey meaningful information.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset and adaptability to change.
  • Robust systems knowledge.
  • Understanding of financial markets.
