Job Title: Relationship Manager - Commercial Real Estate

ICICI Bank UK PLC is seeking a skilled Relationship Manager to join our London, Tower Hill Office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for originating, writing, and managing Loan Against Property / Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending business for ICICI Bank UK Plc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Originate transactions through direct, branch referral, business banking referral, private banking referral, website leads, and broker channel.
  • Write credit applications, coordinate with risk for credit proposals, and present to risk and executive committee.
  • Manage post-approval requirements to drawdown of the facility.
  • Utilize effective marketing and sales promotional tools to raise the Bank's profile in the target segment.
  • Participate in events organized by the Bank, broker channel, solicitors, empaneled valuation agencies, and industry forums to focus on customer service and quality maintenance.
  • Monitor loan accounts, comply with reporting and actionable norms, and communicate deviations, collections, and recoveries to clients.
  • Understand and comply with conduct risk requirements to meet the Group's conduct risk policies and expectations of regulators.
  • Exhibit high levels of customer service and sound understanding of retail and business transactions.
  • Review valuation reports and prepare valuation summaries for approval from the Risk Management Group.
  • Liaise with borrowers, solicitors, CMOG, COPS, and disbursement teams to ensure smooth disbursement of loan proposals.
  • Coordinate with borrowers for timely submission of post-disbursement covenant reports.
  • Interact with internal stakeholders, brokers, and vendors, and exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Undertake new activities due to changes in processes and products.
  • Perform any other activity to facilitate smooth operation of the branch.
  • Undertake projects and assignments from time to time as directed by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Ability to network with potential clients for LAP / CRE and build relationships with existing customers.
  • Good network of high-quality CRE brokers.
  • Sound knowledge and competency in Commercial property/asset-backed loans in the UK.
  • Understanding of property valuation, quality, and marketability of properties in the United Kingdom.
  • Knowledge of regulations driving the property or asset-backed loans and/or mortgage market in the UK.
  • Credit note writing and credit assessment skills.
  • Banking and lending experience.
  • Ability to contribute to product development and refine lending policies to suit market requirements.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-driven.
Functional Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong background in commercial real estate or retail asset products.
  • Credit underwriting skills.
  • Broker channel management skills.
Behavioural Skills:
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Quick decision-making.
  • Self-starter.
Qualifications and Experience:

Graduate or Post Graduate degree required. 5+ years of experience in banking or financial services, with a focus on commercial real estate and lending.
