Your Role

As an Infrastructure Reliability Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating within an agile, multidisciplinary service team, providing support to front-end and back-end developers, product managers, technical writers, and architects.
  • Designing and maintaining robust, highly available, and secure systems tailored to user needs.
  • Tackling complex challenges across infrastructure and applications with a proactive approach.
  • Implementing effective monitoring solutions to swiftly identify and address operational issues.
  • Ensuring the seamless operation of our services, including supporting after-hours changes as needed.
  • Leading the implementation of software updates and addressing security vulnerabilities across our offerings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration technologies such as ECS or serverless application design using AWS Lambda.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, Ruby, or Python) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform).
  • Experience with relational databases like Postgres and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DocumentDB.
  • Solid understanding of SRE principles, including capacity planning and technology upgrades.
  • Experience in monitoring live services, troubleshooting issues, and implementing service enhancements.
  • Highly skilled in using GitHub for version control.
  • Understanding of continuous integration and deployment practices, with experience in CI/CD tools like Drone, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CodePipeline.
  • Knowledge of security principles to maintain the integrity of large operational services.
