The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Informed Solutions. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement resilient and highly available systems to meet the needs of our users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure prompt identification and resolution of operational issues.
  • Support the live operation of our services and participate in out-of-hours changes as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in cloud infrastructure and security.
Requirements
  • Proven experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and container orchestration technologies such as ECS or serverless application design such as AWS Lambda.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (Java, Ruby, or Python) and infrastructure as code (Terraform) language.
  • Experience with relational databases (Postgres), NoSQL databases (Mongo), and document databases.
  • Strong understanding of SRE principles, including capacity planning and technology patching and upgrade planning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly proficient in using GitHub for version control and experience with CI/CD tools such as Drone, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CodePipeline.
  • Understanding of security principles and experience with keeping large operational services secure.
