Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering Team at our Vehicle Maintenance Unit in South East. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and trailers to ensure they are safe, legal, and fit for duty.
  • Complete service and inspection records, defect reports, and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements.
  • Prepare vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to a high standard.
  • Investigate and rectify vehicle defects, ensuring the correct and effective use of tools, plant, and equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards and carry out any other duties deemed reasonable by Management.
Requirements
  • Fully skilled with applicable Licenses / Vocational Training (e.g., LGV C&E licence (class one)).
  • City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 or equivalent in commercial vehicle repairs.
  • Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing / troubleshooting equipment.
  • Ability to lift and manoeuvre Heavy Vehicle Components.
  • Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driving license and previous experience within a similar role.
