Your Role: Accounts Payable Team Lead
As the Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of all purchase invoices within our organization. You will lead and mentor a team of Accounts Payable Assistants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Team Leadership & Management: Oversee the accurate processing of purchase invoices by your team of Accounts Payable Assistants, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Supplier Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers, addressing queries promptly and professionally. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure seamless invoice processing.
- Process Optimization: Liaise with site operators to ensure adherence to purchase order and delivery processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and streamlining workflows.
- Financial Accuracy & Control: Coordinate payment runs and maintain creditor accounts with meticulous accuracy. Implement robust internal controls to safeguard financial security.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare comprehensive financial reports and provide insightful analysis to support wider finance functions.
Your Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role with proven expertise in accounts payable procedures.
- Previous experience managing finance teams, demonstrating strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Exceptional relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks effectively and meeting deadlines consistently.
- Experience with ERP systems (Exchequer) is highly advantageous.
