Accounts Payable Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor to lead a team of Accounts Payable Clerks in a central finance function with multiple ledgers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all supplier invoices, managing and motivating a team, and ensuring regular payments runs, daily bank reconciliations, and month-end close of the ledgers are completed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and motivate a team of Accounts Payable Clerks, including workload management, target setting, one-to-ones, and appraisals.
- Point of escalation for all related supplier queries.
- Responsible for regular payments runs, including domestic and international payments.
- Daily bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and GRNI review.
- Manage the month-end close of the ledgers.
- Previous experience in a similar role, with supervisory experience in an accounts payable environment.
- Experience in a large organisation with multiple ledgers.
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to understand and motivate the team.
- A competitive salary of £35,000.
- Office-based hours, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
- 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays.
