Job PurposeThe Subcontracts Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of subcontracted activities, primarily focused on construction projects. Reporting to the Project Manager during bidding phases and the Construction Manager during project execution, this individual will oversee all aspects of subcontracting management, from strategy development to contract administration.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective subcontracting management strategies and processes.
- Manage the entire subcontracting lifecycle, including bid evaluation, negotiation, award, and administration.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and protect Technip Energies from claims and disputes.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and conduct formal assessments.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Planning, HSSE, Quality, and Construction.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on subcontracting activities, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in subcontracting management within the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with relevant contracts (NEC/IChemE) and industry standards (CDM, NAECI, UK construction laws).
- Strong understanding of technical disciplines related to construction projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
