We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to become a vital part of our Kier Professional Services (KPS) team. This role offers flexibility with remote working options, alongside occasional office visits.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the Kier Professional Services team, contributing to a diverse array of electrical engineering services. Your expertise will also be essential in managing more intricate projects.

Daily Tasks:
  • Develop engineering designs based on feasibility studies, design briefs, or detailed user requirement specifications.
  • Create comprehensive specifications to ensure adherence to client needs, including control philosophies, cable selection and calculations, load and instrument schedules, and P&ID diagrams.
  • Conduct load analysis and field cabling design in compliance with BS7671, utilizing specialized software.
  • Evaluate and size transformers and generators.
  • Prepare quotations for electrical design work.

Candidate Profile:
This position is ideal for you if:
  • You are a technician or an incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., EngTech MICE, IEng MICE).
  • You possess relevant postgraduate experience.
  • You have a background in electrical lighting design.
