Job Title: Renewable Energy Asset Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Asset Manager to join our team at UK Power Networks. As a key member of our Asset Management and Technology department, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth of our business in providing asset stewardship solutions and technical advisory capabilities to our renewable energy assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement asset management strategies for renewable energy assets, including solar PV and onshore wind installations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, client, and business requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and clients on asset management and technology solutions.
  • Develop and maintain asset information in relevant IT systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity of asset master data.
  • Conduct asset risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop and maintain reliable and accurate Health, Criticality, and Risk Indices for the portfolio of assets under management.
  • Provide modeling capability to support prioritization and optimization activities for non-load-related asset investment.

Requirements:

  • Degree-level or equivalent in engineering or science, or equivalent experience.
  • Membership of a professional body such as the IET or IAM.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems, asset management theory and practice, and asset maintenance for electrical systems.
  • A minimum of two years' experience as an engineer, with demonstrable experience in asset management of renewable energy portfolios.
  • Excellent technical and operational understanding of solar PV and onshore wind installations.
  • Knowledge of the application of ISO 55001.
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards achieving Chartership.
  • Relevant Safety management qualification such as NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
  • A project management qualification such as Prince 2 or PMP.
