We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Occupational Therapist to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, facilitate, and evaluate therapeutic groups and individual interventions as part of the multi-disciplinary ward program.
- Provide assessment and intervention to individuals, identifying barriers to discharge and supporting individuals to enable optimum functioning throughout their admission and beyond.
- Select and use validated standardized assessment tools routinely and in practice, exhibiting clinical reasoning skills.
- Plan, implement, and review individually tailored programs of intervention using individual and group work.
- Support service users and colleagues to ensure that care plans are developed in partnership with the individual and that they reflect recovery goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of occupational therapy interventions against clear aims, objectives, and outcome measures.
- Establish links with the CNWL Recovery and Wellbeing College and facilitate inpatient 'snapshot' courses as part of the Horton Recovery and Wellbeing College Spoke.

Person SpecificationEducation and Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- Registered Occupational Therapist with Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC)
Previous Experience:
- Undergraduate experience in mental health
- Experience of using a range of standardized OT assessments, including the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO)
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team/environment
- Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment
- Experience of facilitating group work
Skills, Knowledge, and Ability:
- Individual and group work assessment and intervention skills
- Clear concept of Occupational Therapy and models of practice
- Ability to assess physical needs and prescribe equipment/aids and make recommendations
