About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Horton Rehabilitation Service, a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation to adults with complex and enduring mental health needs.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation process, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify barriers to discharge and develop strategies to overcome them
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions and standardized assessment tools
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication
  • Provide education and training to service users, carers, and colleagues on occupational therapy principles and practices

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience working with adults with complex mental health needs
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to work creatively to engage patients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
