As an Executive Chef Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills, and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality.
Under the inspiring leadership of our Head Chef, Peter Robinson, you will be responsible for assisting in the supervision of the kitchen to ensure the Hastings standards of preparation and presentation are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the effective supervision of the kitchen employees to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen function.
- Promote and contribute to a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
- Ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented, and daily checking procedures are fully applied.
- Ensure company policies relating to stock control and stock ordering are implemented and monitored.
- Provide training and coaching to junior Kitchen team members to deliver effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards.
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments and suppliers to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Ensure the security of kitchen and storage areas is maintained.
- Ensure the kitchen areas, fixtures, and equipment are properly maintained.
- Ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene, and security legislation and company policies and procedures.
About You
We are looking for an individual with similar previous experience gained within a quality catering establishment.

- A clean and tidy appearance
Required Skills:
- Right to Work in the United Kingdom
- Previous experience at a similar level gained within a high-quality catering operation
- NVQ level 2 or the equivalent in Food Preparation and Cooking and hold a recognised current Food Hygiene Certificate
