Interim Head of Financial Reporting

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Financial Reporting to join our rapidly growing Finance team in Preston. This exciting opportunity involves overseeing the day-to-day management reporting aspects of several Business Areas to drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the timely production of financial statements under IFRS (consolidated and statutory).
  • Responsible for all monthly and quarterly management reporting, including reporting to shareholders.
  • Responsible for Group consolidation of 40+ international subsidiaries, including maintenance of consolidation overlays and adjustments within the consolidation system.
  • Drafting and reviewing accounting policies of the group, including advising on specific IFRS technical accounting matters.
  • Own the relationship with the external auditors and the accounting teams of our shareholders.
  • Oversee a team of management accountants across multiple locations to deliver consistent and standardised reporting.
  • Liaise with acquired businesses throughout the wider group to ensure adherence to the group policies and governance.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve internal processes and lead on system improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and controls and with external regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with M&A transactions, including purchase-price allocation accounting and integration of newly acquired entities into the group.
  • Regular contact with wider finance including tax, treasury and commercial finance teams.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant.
  • Previous experience in a multi-entity business.
  • Experience working for a multi-billion turnover business.
