Finance Director Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our team at dnata Travel Group. As a key member of our Finance team, you will provide financial leadership and support to our business, driving efficiency and delivering accurate reporting in line with group policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial leadership and support to the business, including management accounting, finance systems, and internal and external financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Deliver a quality financial service to the dnata Travel UK businesses and shared service functions, driving efficiencies and delivering accurate reporting.
  • Lead the standardisation of Management Accounts and Financial reporting across the dnata Travel UK businesses and shared service functions.
  • Build and maintain a robust financial control environment and culture, ensuring alignment with GFR manual and policies.
  • Ensure engagement and delivery in the audit process, including providing accurate and timely audit deliverables.
  • Provide effective communication of financial performance for the dnata Travel UK businesses and shared service functions.
  • Maintain, develop, and exploit UK ERP and other Finance related systems.
  • Provide accurate and timely ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to the dnata Travel UK businesses and shared service functions.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and financial control frameworks.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to visualise opportunities and re-engineer business processes.
  • Leadership capabilities with excellent influence and negotiating skills.
  • Numerate and analytical thinker, self-motivated and solution orientated.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to identify opportunities to improve revenue and profits.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communicator, comfortable with communicating at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team management.
  • Able to work in a team environment and autonomously.

We are looking for someone with several years' experience in financial roles at a similar level, ideally with a travel industry background. If you have a proven record of leadership, providing individual and team development, along with motivating and driving a high-performance culture, we would like to hear from you.

This is a hybrid role, however initially there may be a requirement to be more office-based. Some UK travel will be required. Our Leyland office is just 10 minutes from junctions 28 & 29 of the M6 with free parking available and onsite restaurant.
