Second Chef Opportunity at The Cinnamon Care Collection

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Second Chef to join our culinary team at Heathland House, a luxurious residential and dementia care home in Ferndown, Dorset.

About the Role:

  • Assist the Head Chef in creating and implementing menus that cater to the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our residents.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless meal service and maintain high standards of cleanliness and health and safety.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative and fine dining-standard food, showcasing your culinary skills and creativity.
  • Participate in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.
  • Support the Head Chef in mentoring and training junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of catering experience, preferably as a Chef de Partie, with NVQ 2/3 or equivalent.
  • Strong passion for delivering exceptional food and providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to contribute to the kitchen's ideas and menus.
