We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Data Analyst to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our Commercial Lines Data Science department, you will play a critical role in maintaining our reputation as an industry leader in the use of GIS.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with external data and software vendors, as well as internal stakeholders and the rest of the team, to develop and deliver innovative geospatial rating factors and geospatial insights.
- Collaborate with the Data Science Team to develop and implement geospatial systems and applications to deliver insights to end-users.
- Support the business in selecting the correct risks to underwrite by implementing our Flood Strategy.
- Develop and maintain advanced GIS analytics knowledge and software skills, including the ESRI, Geoserver, Postgres, Postgis technology stack.
- Experience of relational databases, geodatabases, SQL, and API development with R/Python is highly desirable.
- A competitive salary of up to £30,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
- A bonus opportunity of 8% of annual salary, based on performance and Aviva's results.
