About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contracts Manager to join our team at Severn Trent Water. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the winning and delivery of profitable contracts, providing commercial advice and governance to the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review customer terms and conditions for new business opportunities, identifying risks and opportunities, and advising on compliance with commercial guidelines.
  • Align customer terms and conditions with our supply chain contracts to minimize risks to Severn Trent Water.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Legal, Service Delivery, Engineering, Finance, and Contract Management colleagues.
  • Represent Severn Trent Water at commercial and contractual meetings with customers and support project-specific insurance inputs.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Contract/Commercial Manager in the water or utilities sector.
  • Familiarity with commercial terms and conditions and standard forms of contract, ideally including NEC3/4.
  • Practical experience of getting projects into contract and managing contract delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate business acumen and commercial awareness.
What We Offer
  • Salary range of £40,000 - £55,000.
  • Annual bonus scheme of up to 15% of annual salary, based on company performance.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, with the ability to buy/sell up to 5 days per year.
