Job Overview

Position: Service Desk Support Technician
Location: Fareham, Hampshire (Onsite 5 days a week)
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum.
Interview Process: One stage interview
Shift Hours: 7:30AM - 4:00PM and 9:30AM - 6:00PM

Are you an enthusiastic Service Desk Technician eager to contribute to impactful projects? This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated professionals, focusing on defining security requirements and managing risks associated with the design, delivery, and implementation of IT services.

The selected candidate will address all IT-related challenges, providing solutions and escalating issues to the 2nd and 3rd line support teams when necessary. Responsibilities include documenting failures in IS Service Delivery and utilizing our Support Works ticketing system to track all incidents and resolutions while minimizing service disruptions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a foundational understanding of IT support and infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on teamwork. A willingness to learn and enhance current skills is essential.
  • Manage Service Desk Support Calls as required.
  • Respond to and resolve calls within the stipulated SLA timelines, adhering to established company procedures.
  • Generate and maintain records, procedures, and documentation pertinent to IS Service.
  • Comply with all company IS Policy documents, including Change & Release, Configuration, and Security protocols.
  • Monitor IT systems and report alerts in accordance with established policies.
  • Ensure the security of network services aligns with the organization's security standards.
